TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

MY Teaching Philosophy as a Student Teacher

As a student teacher, I am still learning, observing, and discovering my teaching identity. My experiences in the classroom, along with my training, have shaped my beliefs about teaching and learning. I believe teaching is not just a profession—it is a purpose, a responsibility, and an opportunity to make a positive impact in students’ lives.

 My Beliefs About Teaching

Teaching, for me, is a way to inspire students to think, question, and explore. A teacher should not only share knowledge but also encourage creativity and curiosity. As a student teacher, I believe:

  • Teaching should be student-centered.
Every learner is different, and teaching should respect individual needs, strengths, and learning styles.

  • A teacher is a guide and facilitator.
Instead of giving all the answers, teachers should help students discover solutions through exploration and reflection.

  • Teaching should build confidence.
Students should feel safe to express ideas, ask questions, and make mistakes without fear or judgment.

  • A teacher should be a lifelong learner.
Teaching requires updating skills, learning from experience, and growing along with students.

My Beliefs About Learning

Learning is a continuous and meaningful process. As a student teacher, I believe:

  • Learning happens through engagement.
Students learn better when they are active participants rather than passive listeners.

  • Learning is connected to real-life experiences.
When knowledge is applied practically, it becomes more valuable and memorable.

  • Mistakes support learning.
Errors are natural, and they help students understand concepts more deeply.

  • Learning should be enjoyable.
When students find joy in the process, they become motivated and independent learner
